After a long Friday night of games in the WI Amateur Baseball Classic, the A's found themselves in a position to advance out of their pool with a win over Brookfield on Saturday morning. Both teams went quietly through three innings, but in the dreadful 4th Brookfield capitalized on mistake after mistake by the A's to come away a huge SEVEN run inning. The A's did respond back with back-to-back homers by Kurt Zagzebski and Austin Sarauer in the bottom of the 4th inning, but the big inning by Brookfield was just too much for the A's to overcome as they went on to lose by a score of 9-2.
Even though the A's failed to advance out of pool play in the WI Amateur Baseball Classic this past weekend, the entire tournament, that they co-host with West Bend 7up, went as smooth as you could have hoped. Brownsville would go on to win the championship on Sunday afternoon topping Brookfield by a 5-1 score.
