The A's held on for a 4-3 win over the West Bend Braves on Tuesday night as A's pitching struck out a franchise record 20 batters on the evening. West Bend pushed across three runs in the 3rd inning, but a RBI double by Brad Young in the bottom of the 3rd and a sacrifice fly by Adam Sarauer and RBI fielder's choice by Nick Erd in the 4th inning tied the score at three apiece.
The A's took the lead for good in the 5th as Anthony Matic led off with a single and eventually came around to score on a wild pitch. Nick Erd (Win, 4IP, 11K's) and Brad Young (Save, 2IP, 6K's) made this lead hold up the rest of the way. Kewaskum finished with just five hits on the night and were led by Anthony Matic who finished with two hits.
